Mission: To increase awareness of, raise funds for, and actively assist the Thousand Oaks Library and its branch(es) to promote learning, literacy, and cultural knowledge via materials, programs, and services made available to the community.
We are a non-profit organization formed in 1961 with the goal of supporting the community Library. Today we raise funds to help the library purchase materials, e-resources, and electronic databases which then are available to the community. The Friends also provide financing for programs, events, maintenance of the 3600 gallon salt-water aquarium, and other services for people of all ages in the community.
