SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2009: Help train emergency responders! Volunteers are needed for a large all day drill for county-wide CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) groups. Tentative number of volunteer victims needed is 50. Acting experience NOT required! Lunch is provided! Volunteers are needed for the full event, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Pass the word!
Volunteers are made up as "victims" for disaster and incident practice exercises. "Moulage" injury makeup is applied to volunteers prior to the exercise. What to wear? Something casual that you don't mind getting messy!
Please contact us if you would like to receive a flyer regarding this volunteer opportunity. You are welcome to post it at your place of business, school, clubs, etc.
Volunteers will need to sign a release form prior to the exercise, available at the event. Any participant under 18 years old will need a parent and guardian to sign. If you want time signed off for required Community Service hours, it's helpful if you bring your paperwork with you.
If you, your family, or your volunteer group would like to participate, contact Joncee Kohls, Volunteer Coordinator, (phone), (email)
