United Way Salutes National Volunteer Week 2008: April 28 - May 3 National Volunteer Weeks is about engaging individuals in service, inspiring community to join a movement for change, & recognizing deserving volunteers. Thank You Ballard Vocational Volunteers! Ballard Vocational clients have volunteered for the past 6 months at United Way and have helped complete hundreds of much needed office projects.  Their genuine smiles and atttitude brighten up the United Way office every Tuesday and Thursday morning.  In their own words,  "We have developmental disabilities. Though or limitations may seem great at times, they do not affect our ability to feel. We cry, we laugh, and share a universal desire to be needed and helpful to someone else. Through United Way, we have found a way to achieve that goal.
