    Sponsor United Way's 2016 Annual Day Of Caring
    Help create a brighter Ventura County by sponsoring Day of Caring. Day of Caring is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 9:00 AM to Noon. Through the United Way Day of Caring event, donors, and supporters complete a meaningful volunteer project that allows them to see first hand how their time and financial support impacts local communities. Payment deadline to secure your sponsorship and ad placement is June 30, 2016.

    United Way of Ventura County's 12th Annual Community Partnership Spirit Awards will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Simi Valley.

    Beach Clean-Up At San Buenaventura Beach In Ventura
    Volunteers will be needed for a beach clean-up on August 7, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Volunteers will be picking up trash along the beach and around the park. Volunteers will also be picking up some rocks/gravel and relocating them. Large groups are welcome to participate. Please wear sunscreen, a hat, and light weight clothing.

    Roadshow Revival Volunteers Needed
    Assist FOOD Share's Event Coordinator with the coordination and/or implementation of fund raising activities, information booths at community events, parades, etc. Volunteer duties vary and may include: manning a booth, distributing FOOD Share information and materials, meeting and greeting attendees, registering attendees, running booth activities, parking logistics, serve food, sell raffle tickets, decorate, set-up and break down of booth, and perform other duties as needed. Volunteers are needed for the Roadshow Revival event, to be held at Mission Park, 180 E. Main St., Ventura, 93001 (between East Main & East Santa Clara St., next to the Museum of Ventura County) Volunteers are needed for June 25 and June 26, time slots begin as early as 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM. Parking: Nearby parking structure on Santa Clara, or public street parking Tickets: Volunteers free entrance to event Attire: Casual, comfortable, prepare for being outdoors and wear name badge Volunteers: Go to ticket booth and ask for Jessica.

    Compassionate Volunteers Needed
    Tender Loving Care Home Hospice in Moorpark is looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to visit with our patients. Each of our patients and their families are dealing with a terminal diagnosis, and your visits will mean the world to them. Someone to read or watch TV, listen to music, play games or just to give them the opportunity to share some of their life stories. Nothing makes more of an impact in our lives than the time we give freely to help our community. You will find volunteering for hospice to be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. All volunteers will receive hospice training, a TB Test and a criminal background/DMV check, all at no cost to you.
