    Description ? :

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED FOR THIS PROJECT.  PLEASE CALL UNITED WAY TO REGISTER DIRECTLY AT (805) 485-6288.

The City of Ventura need volunteer to help with a large-scale Riverbottom clean-up. The purpose of this project is to create a passive recreation area that could be used for bird-watching, hiking, etc.  Volunteers are needed to assist in cleaning the levee area of the Santa Clara Riverbottom.  In this time of reduced City funding, there are insufficient resources to fund the manpower necessary to clean this area up. The City has launched "Volunteer Ventura" - a program designed to engage and empower community members to beautify and improve public sites.  Day of Caring Volunteers will be a huge help in this process!

Thanks for spending a Day of Caring with your community!
