Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on May 13, 2010 |
Close to one thousand children are reported as being abused or neglected in Ventura County each year. Many of these children end up in our Foster care system without anyone to ensure that they are taken care of. CASAs are the voices for these children. They are specially trained and then become officers of the court to enable them to speak on a child's behalf so that they don't get lost in the system. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a CASA, please contact us by clicking on the orange "I am interested" button below. Spanish speakers and men are especially appreciated!! Volunteers must be a minimum of 21 years of age, are interviewed, undergo extensive background checks, and receive 40 hours of pertinent training. This opportunity is sponsored by: Interface Children Family Services
