 United Way of Ventura County has been fortunate enough to have been selected to participate in the 2008 California Strawberry Festival! Volunteers are needed to work in our Beer Booth (location to be determined by April 15) for this year's Festival.
We need volunteers to work three shifts on Saturday, May 17 and three shifts on Sunday, May 18, 2008.

Shifts each day will be:
9:30-12:00 (Booth officially opens at 10 am)
12:00 - 3:00
3:00 – 5:30 (Booth closes at 5:30 promptly.)
Strawberry Festival volunteers will receive free entrance tickets, and T-shirts for their participation.
Requirements: All Strawberry Festival Volunteers must have a current RBS Certification from the City of Oxnard Police Department.
RBS Certification I.D. cards must be worn by volunteers at all times during the shift worked. RBS Certificates are valid for three consecutive years.
Trainings for RBS Certification (allowing volunteers to serve alcohol) will be on:
Tuesday, April 15 – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, April 17 – 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 3 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon
Thursday, May 8 – 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 14 – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
RBS trainings are at the Oxnard Police Storefront: 250 Citrus Grove Lane, Suite #230. The store front is a two-story building behind the old storefront and is upstairs just outside the elevator.

From the North of Oxnard – Southbound on Ventura Freeway (101) exit Victoria, turn right/south, proceed to Channel Islands Blvd., turn left/east, follow Channel Islands to the Festival.
From South of Oxnard – Northbound on Ventura Freeway (101) from Los Angeles, exit Las Posas Rd. (Camarillo), turn left/south, proceed to Pleasant Valley, turn right/west and follow Pleasant Valley to Rice Ave, proceed over the overpass at Hwy 1 heading west to the Festival.
OR
exit Rice Ave. (Oxnard), turn left/south, proceed to Channel Islands Blvd. turn right/west, proceed over the overpass at Hwy.1., then turn left/south on Rose Ave. to the Festival.
