Description:
The Arc of Ventura County provides educational, employment, independent living, and residential services to nearly 800 individuals with developmental disabilities. The Arc of Ventura County operates 34 programs with a staff of 300. The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

History:
The Arc of Ventura County was established in 1954 by a group of parents in Santa Paula and several teachers who decided to form a group to help improve the lives of young people with developmental disabilities.

The Arc of Ventura County is regarded as one of the premier social services agencies serving the developmentally disabled in Ventura County. We constantly strive to improve programs and services as we achieve our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

This is the address for our administrative offices: Exit the 101 Freeway at Victoria Avenue and travel east to Moon Drive. Turn left onto Moon Drive, which will turn into Walker Street, and travel to the end of the road. Arc Ventura County's administrative offices are located at the end of Walker Street in the last two-story office complex (across the street from the Ventura Police Department).   Nearest Bus Stop: SCAT, 5 minute walk
