    Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District offers classes, programs, sports leagues, events and activities for the public. The organization promotes healthy living through recreation programs and healthy communities through its many parks and facilities.

    Description:
    Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District offers year-round classes that encourage creative growth, programs that encourage healthy living through sports, exercise, fun and more. The organization offers after school recreation programs at eleven elementary school sites throughout Simi Valley and Oak Park. Additionally, events such as two Arts & Crafts Fairs, Halloween Carnival, Huck Finn Fishing Derby, Veterans Day ceremony and more are offered for public enjoyment.

    History:
    Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District was created in 1961 to offer parks, recreational programming and events for the citizens of Simi Valley and Oak Park. The main office is located at the Sycamore Drive Community Center 1692 Sycamore Drive, #A-2, Simi Valley. The Oak Park office is located at the Oak Park Community Center and Gardens, 1000 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park.
