Description:
Lutheran Social Services has been providing supportive services to Ventura County for over 25 years. Our programs include: providing supportive services to homeless or low-income, elderly and disabled individuals, including, a walk-in facility providing showers, laundry, message service and mail pick-up, financial emergency assistance, counseling, food, and clothing assistance, minor home repairs for qualifying seniors. Our agency coordinates the Conejo Valley Meal and Shelter Program, which provides over 10,000 meals each year and shelter from December-March.
History:
Lutheran Social Services is under the umbrella of Lutheran Services of American, a nationally accredited non-profit, which has ranked as a leader in the delivery and development of social services. We serve all persons regardless of religious affiliation, race, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or economic status.

I have met people that are there for the same reason I am...to help the less fortunate and to give back to the community I live in. I like the fact that no one judges anyone, they just realize that there is work to be done and we do it together.
