Description:
Laubach trains volunteer tutors to work with adults who need help learning how to read, write and speak English. The tutors work one-on-one with the student. All services and materials are provided to the tutors and the students without charge.

History:
Laubach Literacy of Ventura County has been in existence since 1970. During that time, thousands of adults in Ventura County have been able to improve their lifestyle by improving their English proficiency. Our students have obtained driver's licenses, U.S. citizenship, registered and voted for the first time, have obtained jobs, have obtained better-paying jobs, and have helped with their children's education.
