    Logo

The Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area, is the local service club of Zonta International. Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global service organization of executives in business and the professions working together, across political and social boundaries, to advance the status of women worldwide.

    Description:
The Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area provides funding for local domestic violence programs, literacy programs, women's educational scholarships, and partners with other organizations/agencies to fund Westminster Free Clinic, Tri-County Family Services, and other local and international service projects. We do fundraising projects during the year to fund these programs such as our annual Victorian Tea and Author Event, and also put on Special Kids Day at Conejo Valley Days for Developmentally Disabled Children. This is the one event we need 300-350 volunteers for annually.

    History:
The Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area , established in 1972, includes, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Westlake Village, and parts of Agoura, in Southern California. Zontians are architects, artists, doctors, educators, entrepreneurs, executives, lawyers, pilots, government officials and more, who volunteer their time, talents, and money to local and international service programs, as well as scholarship and award programs. Local projects include, the YMCA Hydrotherapy Pool, Conejo Valley Days Special Kids Day, educational scholarships, Zonta Meals-on-Wheels Angel Program for homebound seniors, Amelia Earhart Fellowships, the first Transitional Homes for Battered Families in this area, and, free mammograms, health, and advocacy services to the working poor of the area through Westminster Free Clinic. We know that when people all speak together, our voices are even stronger. Join us in our collaborative community and global efforts.
