Babash's Angels Sober Living Home For Women & Children
    Logo

It is our mission to provide a safe Christian based home for Women,Men & Children while they work on rebuilding their lives to become productive, responsible citizens. In 2007 we opened the Men and children sober living home named Back to Reality.

    Description:
Babash's Angels is a sober living program that provides a safe and sober living environment for Women and Men and their children in Ventura County. The Women and Men we serve are actively working with 12 Step Recovery Programs and striving to once again become productive and responsible citizens. We work closely with the women and Men to resolve their financial, legal, and family issues and assist them in finding their place in society as sober and spiritual women.

Many of these Women and Men come to us after experiencing homelessness and abusive living situations and addictions of various kinds. It is our mission to encourage the Women and Men we serve to achieve & maintain sobriety, obtain employment, attend meetings, church services, receive counseling, anger management, parenting classes, mental health services and Bereavment counseling when needed. Babash's Angels is a safe haven for these Women, Men and Children while they are on the road to recovery.

    History:
Corrina Arenas started Babash's Angels in 2002 following the tragic murder of her sister Gloria "Babash" De la Cruz. She began by opening one home in El Rio, California where she housed two women. In November 2005 she opened a second home. Between the two homes Babash's Angels currently houses 17 women and 6 children. Back to Reality for Men and children was opened in 2007 and is located next door to our Women's home.
The average length of time the Women & Men reside at the home is six months to one year. As of April 2006, there have been approximately 50 women who have successfully completed this sober living program and are currently productive citizens in the community.
