SPIRIT Of Santa Paula
We see community as a family with its various personalities, strengths, and weaknesses, all under the care and protection of God. We are called to serve the least, the little and lost. We serve the community by doing things that promote the greater good.
Description:
Our projects include the National Day of Prayer, held annually; Many Meals of Santa Paula, serving a sit-down and take out meal for our homeless and hungry neighbors; Richard's House, a winter shelter in Santa Paula, providing shelter during the winter months; REPLY, a cooperative project with Real Estate Professionals and Youth Leaders in Ventura County to raise funds to help keep siblings together who are entering foster care; Santa Paula Police and Clergy Council, work to keep peace in the community, build bridges between families, schools, church, and public safety personnel. SPIRIT of Santa Paula also cosponsors community events benefiting our public safety departments such as Moonlight At The Ranch.in collaboration with the Santa Paula Police and Fire Foundation. Garden Share, is a cooperative effort between Santa Paula High School and the FFA program, 4H, ACTION Foundation, Limoneira Corp, Alan Teague and others who will share food grown in the community garden.
History:
The SPIRIT of Santa Paula is a 501(c)3 organization formed in 2002 to promote the National Day of Prayer and to serve the community by doing things that promote the greater good.
