    The mission of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley is to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

    Description:
    The majority of our members are youth that are facing
    disadvantaged circumstances, wanting to escape poverty, delinquency and gangs. Thus, we offer a sense of belonging and the tools to make positive
    choices to each child who comes to our Club.

    Programs focus on five areas of youth development: Character & Leadership Development; Educational &
    Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Through these various programs, youth gain the knowledge, skills, and attributes to be successful in life.

    History:
    The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley was founded in 1949 and it provides daily access to safe, supervised activities that foster children to become productive, responsible and caring citizens. There are eleven sites, serving the cities of Santa Paula and Fillmore, the unincorporated area of Piru and other surrounding communities. The Club concentrates on five areas of youth development: Character & Leadership Development; Educational & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Most facilities have a gym, game room, homework center, career & computer lab, teen room, library, arts & crafts area and kitchen. The Club’s activities primarily take place after school, during school vacation breaks, in the evening as well as on weekends. Over 5,500 youth and community members utilize the Club
