    Logo

The organization's primary purpose is to provide comprehensive home health and hospice services to Ventura County patients regardless of their ability to pay, based on its available resources. Livingston is certified by Medicare and Medi-Cal and is also a preferred provider for many major health plans and HMOs.

    Description:
LMVNA and Hospice provides services to the sick frail, disabled, elderly, terminally ill, and homebound residents of the county. It is the policy of the organization that all patients be treated with dignity and respect on a non-discriminatory basis.

Home health care encompasses a wide range of skilled nursing, therapy, social work, and home health aide services. Many services that once required a hospital stay are now being performed safely and conveniently in the comfort of one's home.

Hospice is a special way of caring for people at the end stages of terminal illness. Hospice takes place where the patient resides, whether it is at home, assisted living facility , or a skilled nursing facility. The hospice team works together to provide comfort care to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of both the patient and his or her family. Hospice focuses on the quality of a patient's life through the management of a patient's symptoms. The patient's physician continues to oversee care and works with the hospice team to provide compassionate care.

    History:
Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association has been making home health house calls for residents of Ventura County since 1947. LMVNA is the oldest nonprofit home health and hospice agency, providing home health nursing and hospice care with a team of licensed and certified health care professionals
